LARPing for Well-Being

“LARPing for Well-Being” is a youth project that uses Live Action Role-Playing (LARP) to boost emotional well-being, social skills, and resilience. Youth workers are first trained to design and facilitate LARP activities, developing their skills and confidence in using this creative, experiential method. They then engage young people in immersive role-playing experiences, helping them explore real-life situations, express themselves, and strengthen their social and emotional skills in a safe and playful environment.

At the same time, the project partners co-create LARP tools and resources, which are collected on an open-access online platform. This platform allows anyone—youth workers, educators, or organizations—to access, adapt, and use the tools, ensuring the project’s impact reaches far beyond the initial participants.

A Glimpse of LARPing for Well-Being

No scripts, just stories, roles, and plenty of learning. 🎭

These moments capture OFFBEAT’s participation in the first international training of LARPing for Well-Being in Bușteni, Romania, where youth workers came together to explore LARP through experience, reflection, and collaboration. With this first milestone complete, the next step is bringing these methods to life through local implementation with young people in Lebanon
